Your In-Game Name: GM Commander Wolfram
Your Steam ID: STEAM_0:1:41337999

Their Name: Jack
Their Steam ID: STEAM_0:1:95892380

Complaint: Invalid warn

Summary: I was falsely warned for "not valuing life". GM's job is to run into breaches and clear them out. This is even more the case with Flametroopers. No where does it state in rules that you can't "rambo". Also rambo rules themselves are FailRP "Clones were designed to fight and die for the Republic" "Clones in the Star Wars universe were created for the sole purpose of being soldiers" "Clone were created and bred to serve the Jedi and the Republic, and battle is their sole purpose in existence. This they know, and they are content with that" Another argument is that clones have different personalites so why can't I roleplay as a noble and honourable commander sacrificing themselves for their troopers?

last thing why wasn't anyone else warned?

edit: I would just like to add that I had a lot of jedi, and CC with me in the breach, I wasn't soloing the breach

Not sure about the rules on commenting so please delete if required but I was there at the time and I do think it is ridiculous that Wolfram was warned and a Jedi who did the same thing straight after was not. Also this is surely an in-character matter not an ooc one? If it does count as fail-rp that needs to be stated somewhere and I'm sure half the head-first regiments on the server will lose their confidence to enter combat this way, especially flametroopers.

Hello Wolfram,
Just wanted to let you know that I'll be taking a look into this.

Didn't want to leave this post in the dark.

Hi Painite
I submitted this a month ago and would appreciate an update on this.

Sincerely,

Hello Wolfram,

I apologise that this took so long to review,
A lot of stuff had came up over the past week for myself.

Moving onto this scenario,
I had talked with various members of Senior Staff and Management on what should be done regarding this and have ultimately came to a decision which is the following.

Prior to both warnings from being handed out, Staff Members had noticed that GM breach quality has dropped where a lot of them aren't using covers or other team mates to assist in clearing an area out.
I have personally seen a GM Flamer run into 15-20 droids trying to flame as many as possible to just die.

This is especially annoying for the event hosts as areas that should take time to clear with many people are being half cleared out by a single GM Flamer who is just running in there trying to flame as many NPCs as possible and then die, this ultimately shaves off quite a lot of time playing the event for others due to the flame doing infinite damage and a stun lock.

A clip was provided by Jack which I'll go in depth with.

Looking at this video, although this is pretty tame from what I've personally seen in the past, the intent to just run in there get as many flames as possible and die is still there.
You could have used the side walls or even been a team player and let both of the Jedi Generals go first with their saber wall and flamed behind.
There was no need to run in there and not value your life.

GM Breaching is a form of RP which should be thought out, to save as many casualties as possible. The current form of breaching is poor and needs to be improved,
Which is where Jack comes in.

Jack seen the issues of this and the impact on the server and had gone out his way to verbally warn you about this scenario in which you had later disregarded and had received your first warn.

Since you had read the rules, then you should be familiar with 1.1
1.1 - Staff word is final. If you disagree with a staff members judgment, report it on the forums or approach a HA+.
Although the rule that you were warned for is not specifically on the forums, A Staff Member had approached you to tell yourself to stop.
Due to it being FailRP - Not Valuing Life.

You were well aware of the scenario and had continued to disregard 1.1 and the Staff Members decision and had received two warning for it.
This is just worthy and I see no fault.

Due to Galactic Marines Breach Dropping in Quality compared to past commanders.
IC and OOC Parties have both agreed on the following:

Issues regarding poor breach quality will be dealt with IC first as it is a drop in a role play aspect of the regiment.
And if continued it will be dealt with OOC due to No Value of Life.

A New Specific Rule will be developed and updated on the CW Server Rules Page regarding this which takes into negotiations and player experiences too.

// Moved to Closed - Warn will not be removed.
