It didn't was just chatting to Ryan and I realised it is probably a good thing he doesn't and the fact that others can is a bit much and could cause issues especially cause you can join fleet at SSG.

I allowed this cause there were barely any medics on and he was on RND so it isn't part of the issue.
Not sure were you came that you can just give a medic jetpack who has medgun i could also go by that you shouldnt give equipment to person who is not trained with it (i dont wanna tell you who to give your thing thats your to make desicion but when your own MO doesnt have jetpack i would think that you probably understand that you shouldnt give jetpack to someone with medigun. Now again im just saying what i read and understand from your statement as i wasnt there and didnt hrade about it so fill me if i took it wrongly) But yea outside of this i think it shall be more clear why/who can order you to give them your equipment as i dont know but doesnt seem logical to me that fleet who isnt trained lets say with jump pack should get it just cuz he ordered (this is just example)

I mean the thing is Rank Equivelences do exist, and if a Senior of a regiment disagrees with the call they can simply tell the fleet member to just stop and if they don't bring it to higher ups of Fleet
Oh i agree 100% but to mitigate any of that why dont we just have it so only the highest ranks can order to drop equipment therefore jack and toe wont need to tell people off in fleet and also wont make others feel like they can do it if they want to.

Well I want to do it, feel like at some point Fleet members should be trusted and hasn't been abused before and doubt it would be abused ever. And if it will I assume there would be real consequences behind that.

I ran into a situation today where we were under attack in CA and it was me 1 CG and 1 SDW, we were in a firefight for a long time and they ran out of ammo, (I was a medic healing them all the time with my medi gun in my fleet job), to ensure we still could fight the droids back I handed my rifle to an SDW while I kept healing. I feel like this a good scenario to highlight when RP calls for it the rules work. Keeping the rule the same as it has always been isn't so bad as long as you give a bit of trust to the people involved to do the right thing. (He handed the rifle back after we cleared the room). I agree that maybe increasing it to Senior Officer + would be fine as the only people in that rank are those committed to being fleet by that point, so it makes sense. At the same time if people abuse it and get caught then it is easy to punish them.

Admiralty has denied this suggestion.
There are a few reasons for this. The main one is that I'm not going to strip Fleet's permissions for something that hasn't happened. To add to this, Fleet is in charge. So they can, by default, order people to drop equipment. This does not mean they can do it whenever they want. To make someone drop equipment the Fleet must have a valid RP reason for doing so. If an issue persists and you see someone being a dummy then come to Jack or myself. We will deal with it. Rank locking would only make this more of a thing than it is already, drawing not to it. Making it something to look forward to, to work towards the power of doing this. There is no specific rule that says Fleet can order this. They can order it because they are in charge. There is, however, one rule on this subject; Fleet are not allowed to request specialist or donator equipment.

Once again if you see this being abused come to me or Jack.
