Change who can ORDER you to drop a weapon.

Suggestion: Change it so only Rear Admiral+ & ABG+ can directly order someone of a lower rank to drop their weapon for their use (forcing them to drop it)

Reason: At the moment any odd member of fleet is able to order any trooper to drop whatever equipment if they so please this isn't a necessary permission the only one they need is to be able to grant permission to use other equipment that isnt in their loadout so allow someone to drop something or use say pirate equipment if they need to. This will prevent low ranking fleet from possible abuse of the ability as it can be done now meaning they have to use their actual load out and can't be bored and decide to take other's

To be clear this won't require a change to the Bronze rule as Fleet will still be able to grant use of alternative equipment as a whole.

Has this actually happened? If so I’d suggest you bring it to either me or Toe and I can promise you we would’ve handled it instead. Don’t get me wrong I agree with this suggestion just don’t thing there was a need for it when it could’ve been easily handled with a dm over discord.

This works as well tbh. If you outrank them go for that, if the try argue it with you they’ll be gone from fleet pretty quick

although seeing a fleet RND medic fly around with a jetpack and medigun and bacta nades is fun

Pretty sure if its equipment they cant order you to drop it unless they are taking it away because you pissing about, but since they not trained to use it they shouldn't need it

It didn't was just chatting to Ryan and I realised it is probably a good thing he doesn't and the fact that others can is a bit much and could cause issues especially cause you can join fleet at SSG.

I allowed this cause there were barely any medics on and he was on RND so it isn't part of the issue.

Feel like this already exists, because if some low ranking Crewman (that isn't me) would do this Im sure Jack or Toe would take action if it was brought to their attention as Jack said in the post. If this happens just have it simply be reported to them lot and deal with it IC no point limiting stuff to RA or anything like that.

It is more of a future proofing issue. I know it isn't often that it happens but im pretty sure Jack and Toe like any other regiment leader would rather there be no problem than a problem to solve.

Like locho said, we was generally talking about this and the fact that all fleet can come up to you and go "can you drop me this" or "Drop me this" and expect people to just drop makes no sense, Imo a SSG wouldnt be able to go up to a 2nd LT and tell him to do this so i agree with this tbh.

If its going to be limited by a rank, RA is way too high. Could make it more reasonable and have it be around Senior Officer - Sub Lieutenant

IMO taking equipment that isn't apart of your loadout from someone else isn't good in general, should only be done if they to confiscate equipment

I mean the thing is Rank Equivelences do exist, and if a Senior of a regiment disagrees with the call they can simply tell the fleet member to just stop and if they don't bring it to higher ups of Fleet
