Having more passive elements of events
The idea of events having some passive roleplay element used to be occurring all the time and is what originally hooked myself and others to MVG. It required more thinking and provided more challenges to face during events which over time has seemingly deminished in comparison to what it used to be. The only time we seem to slow down now is to set up a breach at a ray shield and that's the only time regiments work together and I think there are opportunities we are missing as the events are focussed around moving forward with little RP revolving around them. I'm not saying to remove the PvE but to have some roleplay element somewhere during it where there is some confrontation with event enemy characters and the Republic.
Some ideas could be:
- Searching for a sith artifact which has anonymous affects on those around it making it difficult to transport. RP for Jedi, 327th and those affected. Could be on that map with the sandstorm.
- Being sent on planetary operations to prepare defences, more roleplay for the frontline, strategic withdrawels and/ or counter attacks.
- Political events, a Republic ally is being swayed into joining the Seperatists. Republic Forces are sent on a peacekeeping effort. Roleplay for Jedi, Shock and having some element of consequence.
- Logistic missions, Republic is being sent to deliver relief supplies to a trapped regiment. Roleplay for 327th, frontline regiments.
- Use of Spec Ops, Republic Forces can't get past a well defended Seperatist outpost. Whilst Frontline Forces struggle to gain ground send Spec Op regiments to find their way around through a series of obstacles and mini-defences to sabotague the main enemy defence outpost. Could only have a certain amount of time.
Just basically some other objective that isn't specifically to walk forward and shoot the enemy.
We have the SpecOps server now for these reasons, we can host anything on it, complete RP to straight combat only, you just have to ask to get one set up

Your not gonna find super high indepth events on the main server anymore, because the money isnt being spent so the servers shite in terms of performance
