The factories of Geonosis have devised the blue prints to an experimental droid, proficient in guerrilla warfare and deep cover infiltration. Using new methods, a cloaking device has been created that is as yet undetectable with known methods. This combined with body armour resistant to blaster fire will make for a devastating weapon against the republic.
In order to create such a machine, Mandalorian beskar must be collected before production can begin. To get their hands on such a material, the CIS have acquired the help of galactic bounty hunter, Cad Bane, with his advanced set of skills he was successful in his endeavour and has stashed the beskar haul in a safe house on Nar Shadar ready for collection by the CIS.
The proud and noble Mandalorians are not to be trifled with however, they caught wind of his escapades and have tracked him to the planet. Given his reputation, the Mandalorians have seen fit to enlist the help of the Republic to bring Bane to justice and return the stolen beskar to it's rightful home on Mandalore.
We shall begin the event by traveling to nar shadar, Bane and his pirate associates will be event enemies and shall "attempt" to defend the Beskar shipment from the onslaught of the republic army, as well as an elite squadron of Mandalorian soldiers, selected as event characters. They'll basically be a friendly version of the Deathwatch event enemies.
After breaching into Banes fortified compound, Bane (as well as the shipment of Beskar) will escape Nar Shadar and deliver the shipment to the droid factories personally to avoid any further set backs. This will be the end of the first mission in the campaign.
After the success of Cad Bane's heist on Mandalore, the droid factories of Geonosis have created their most devastating machine to date. Deep cover operatives with cloaking technology as yet undetectable with known methods. As a last ditch effort to win the losing battle for Anaxes, the CIS have released their experimental squadron to capture the base from the inside out. As a distraction for the oncoming black ops mission, a droid armada have opened fire upon the surrounding compounds of the Anaxes base attempting to capture the outposts and force a tactical siege of said outposts.
Falling into the trap, the republic spare no expense in attempting to retake the outposts, leaving the main base of operations wide open. Unleashing the infiltrators upon the planet, the republic expects nothing but yet another victory. This new enemy however is strong, fast, skilled and tears through the republic forces. The 38th attempt to analyse them, but their various scans show nothing to be found. Some of these experimental droids, unbeknownst to those inside the compound have made their way to the command centre, their objective - search and destroy, all but one.
The shock are skilled bodyguards, trained to lay down their lives in service to the Navy and lay down their lives they did; but in vain. Their protectors eliminated, the navy officers are wide open and defenceless, they put up a fight as all military personnel are expected to do and yet, they too fall at the hands of this new enemy. Leaving the grand admiral taken prisoner of war. As one last act of heroism, the GA has ordered a planetary-wide retreat, to consolidate their forces and come back stronger than before.
This part of the event doesn't take much planning as it's basically your run of the mill CIS attack, however all of the battle should be taking place at the outposts around the base, and not the base itself. Obviously, there shall be those who stay behind at the base to defend, however as no attack will be coming, eventually they shall be ordered to the front line also, all of them except the Shock left behind to protect Navy officers...
There can be your standard run of the mill event enemies, however there should be at least 3 elite melee y'know the ones with vibro swords. They will be equipped with cloaking devices and their HP should also be buffed to 10k each (This is to simulate their blaster-resistant Beskar armour). Now I recognise that this seems a tad overpowered, but you need to remember that the point of this mission is for the republic to lose this battle.
In regards to those playing as the experimental droids, they can be allowed to attack the republic at the outposts for a while, however somebody in the republic army should eventually report in that a new as yet unknown battle droid has entered the field and they're extremely powerful. This person should be somebody who is either a very high rank, or staff, but ideally both - for example, one of the Generals. This is because they should be aware of the event prior to it occurring, that way they can be relied upon as part of the story to report in about the new droids.
Once this happens, the OD will start an emergency hostile scan in order to find out any information about the new droids. Obviously, these scans will not show anything about them, according to the scan they don't even exist. Once this happens, the Experimental droids will be ordered to cloak up and enter the main base, and make their way to the CC to kill all of the fleet, except for the highest rank. Ideally the GA should be online in order for it to follow the narrative, but it doesn't really have to be I guess. The highest ranking fleet will then order an immediate and emergency planet-wide evacuation.
At this point, you can just kinda spam the message in chat over and over, wait a minute or so and then switch maps to the venator to end on a sort of cliff hanger. Or, the staff member running the event can clear out a place for 38th to set up LAATs for evac, and then switch maps. For this to make absolute sense, this event can take place on a sunday, for the switch to venator. I recognise that on sundays there's a load of other staff shit going on so it can be difficult and as this campaign is pretty in depth, I suppose i'd advise it to be a 1 off early map switch to venator instead of the switch happening on a sunday.
Right then, It's currently 04:17AM so I'm going to end this idea here, however if it gains any sort of traction or support, I shall continue the story and campaign at a later date to bring a conclusion to it. Thank you for coming to my TedTalk.
